# Licensing & attribution

## Commercial database subscriptions

An active paid database subscription grants your organization a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to deploy the database on **1 internal server** (`seats: 1`) by default. If you need to deploy the database on more than 1 server, each additional server requires an extra server seat (`+$149/mo` per server). **IPScope databases cannot be shared, bundled into third-party software, sublicensed, or sold.**

## IPScope Lite (`CC BY 4.0`)

The free **IPScope Lite** (`IPScope-Lite-v1`) database is licensed under **Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0)**. You may use it in your application provided you include attribution where your product credits data or open-source dependencies:
